Freshfield Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 1007

Arriving at Southport Masonic Hall for another excellent evening.

I am fortunate enough to have previously witnessed the lecture to be given this evening.
I have visited Freshfield Mark Lodge on several occasions, and it's fair to say, you never know what to expect! In the nicest possible way.

W.Bro. Roy Hedges was on hand to assist, occupying the S.W. chair for the evening.
The W.M. opened the Lodge in due form and proceeded to enquire as to nominations for the office of master for the ensuing year. There being only one, Bro. Ian Tupling, S.W, was then declared Master Elect.

The W.M. then invited V.W.Bro Maurice Evans to deliver a lecture, expounding the history of the degree and explaining the origins of the ceremony and signs. Delivered with the skill and expertise we have all come to expect from Maurice. The brethren showed their appreciation in the usual manner.

The meeting was followed by the usual excellent food we have come to expect at Southport. Well done Phil the chef and staff.

The Lodge D.C, W.Bro. John Mawdsley P.G.J.D officiated in excellent form, a good time was had by all.
I’ll be there in April when the lodge will be honoured by the presence of the R.W.P.G.M and the provincial team.
Maurice and the Worshipful master enjoying the evening
